Round 4 - this Saturday 24th October

We are back to Program 1 on Saturday, hopefully without interruption this time round. Please remember to sign up to the Relays - more info below.

  • U6 - U8 families: Please arrive by 8:15am for guided warm-up and an 8:30am start.

  • U9 - U17 families: Please arrive by 9:45am for individual warm-up an a 10:00am start. U13s, this is the program where you start a little bit later.

Duties

  • U8 families: You’re back on set-up duty. Please arrive at the club rooms at 7:30am and sign in to have your duty recorded, then come and see us. Please remember that you’re also managing the BBQ and Canteen duty for Session 1.

  • U10 families: You are on pack-up duty. Please remember to sign out when we are finished packing up. In addition, you’re in charge of BBQ and Canteen in Session 2.

  • Front Straight and Back Straight scanning: Any age group! Fastest fingers first.

For all mid-session duties: Please sign up for the duty at the start of the session, grab a vest and ensure you have your name recorded on the duty sheet in the club room! To make your planning easier, we have scheduled the entire season on our duty page.

Help needed

  • We are still looking for permanent team manager for the U6 girls. You don't need to be a skilled athlete or coach to do this - key is to guide the team to the events. We will help you, and you get a committee discount fee for the year.

  • We need a permanent canteen manager for the early session (8am to 10am). If we can’t fill the role we will unfortunately only be able to open the canteen and BBQ from 10am onwards.

Relay registration - 1 week to go!

The Relay season is fast approaching! Don’t forget to register - all info and links here. Please read the details and the commitment required carefully before registering. Relays are a team sport. The club pays money for each relay team, and we don’t get a refund if we have to scratch the team. Registrations close on 29. October.

Other info

Please don’t forget to bring the chest patches and remember to bring hats, sunscreen and drink bottles. As usual, drinks, snacks and BBQ will be available for purchase. Uniforms will be available for sale at the clubroom as well, and the coffee crew is looking forward to seeing you.

Trial athletes - if you have completed your two free trials it is now time to register if you wish to continue. Please do so tonight so we can print your chest patch.

We’re currently hopeful with the weather, but one never knows. Please keep an eye on all our channels if the weather looks dubious on Saturday morning. No news is good news and we’re on.

Go Mentone!
