Round 6 - Coles Community Round - This Saturday 8. November
This Saturday 8. November is our Coles Community Round! We will be running program 3.
U6 - U8 families: Please arrive by 8:15am for warm-up and for an 8:30am start
U9 - U17 families: Individual start times, please refer to the program. If you wish to participate in the walks, please join us at the start line at the tennis court side of the back straight a few minutes before the start time of your age group.
Duties:
U6 families: You’re back on set-up duty. Please arrive at 7:30am and sign in to have your duty recorded. Please remember that you are also staffing the BBQ and Canteen in Session 1
U13-17 families: Pack-up duty. Please remember to only sign out when we are finished packing up. In addition, you’re in charge of BBQ and Canteen in Session 2.
Front Straight and Back Straight scanning: Any age group! Fastest fingers first.

Coles Community Round:
Coles is a big sponsor of Little Athletics Victoria and provides us with our free bananas every week. This round is our Coles Community Round. We encourage all athletes to be creative and wear something in Coles colours. Every team will have one $10 Coles voucher to give away to the best-dressed athlete! We will also have a cool Coles picture frame for selfies and group pictures, together with a few costumes.
Other info:
Please remember to bring hats, sunscreen and drink bottles and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Drinks, snacks and BBQ will be available for purchase. Uniforms will be available for sale as well, and our coffee man Lenny and his team will have their famous hot and cold drinks ready.
This is the last Saturday morning round at Mentone for 3 weeks. Next week is Mentone Relay Day on Sunday, and the week after, we are at the regional relay carnival in Frankston. Our next regular session at Mentone will be Saturday 29. November.
The weather forecast currently doesn’t look encouraging. We will monitor the situation and make a final decision on Saturday morning. Please keep an eye on all our channels. If you don’t hear from us, we’re on.
