Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - PB Day, Presentation Day, AGM Postponed
On advice from LAVIC, we have postponed PB Day, Presentation Day and our AGM until further notice.
LAVIC UPDATE Mar 16, 2020
In the light of recent rapid developments with respect to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and subsequent public health crisis, please note the following:
LAVic is advising all its affiliated Centres to cease all Little Athletics-related activities, thus bringing the 19/20 track & field season to an early close. This would apply to training, Centre competition, Centre Championships events, Open Days etc. Centres should give consideration to delaying proceeding with Presentation Days to a more suitable date.
About the AGM
The AGM is an excellent opportunity to step up and join the dedicated group of volunteers who run our centre. It's vital that we continuously involve new parents to ensure the club has sufficient volunteers to continue functioning as the current committee members retire.
If you can help in any way please contact our secretary at mentone@lavic.com.au. We offer a discount on membership fees for the children of committee members, team managers and starters.
We're always in need of parents to help with all aspects of running the club, including (but not limited to):
- starters
- relay day organisation
- equipment coordination
- financial management
- running the timing systems
- managing results
- managing duty rosters
- canteen and bbq coordination
- team managers
- sponsor relations
- track bookings
Joining the committee as a general committee member is a great way to get involved without taking on a specific role (which we understand can be daunting for new volunteers).
