A great day was had by all 16 Mentone athletes who competed at the LAVic State XC Championships at Lake Dewar in August.

We were blessed to have great weather the whole day and only caught up with the rain on the drive home. 
All our athletes put in a massive effort and tried their hearts out. Well done to each and every one of them!

Big thanks to Ben Ayres for taking up our tent and setting us up for the day, Nicole King for being our AM Team Manager and of course our Coach Rupert for looking after the kids like always, with their warms ups and call room marshaling. He’s worth his weight in gold!

Another massive thank you to all the parents that drove an hour and a half each way to get their kids across to Lake Dewar to race today. It was a big commitment to your weekend.

And last but not least, a HUGE thank you to Sophie Bourke for her commitment and enthusiasm in coordinating our cross-country teams this season.
